FEEL JUST FINE

I am not old and I am not high
And I still have good health,
Though I smoke and drink rye.

I'm a patient soul, but I don't lie
When I say I can't wait
For the end of these times.

Thousands of people at all sides,
But there's no one around
Not for miles and miles,

No gentle touch, no lover's smile,
Just the punks in the streets
With their guns and their knives!

I can cope, as I'm still alive
But you know it's hard,
Though I try and I try,

A good poet knows how tragic is life
When he sits down to write
And he cries and he cries!

There are no clues, there are no signs
To show us why we're here
And what is time.

I'm a patient soul, but I can't lie.
I cannot wait
'Till the end of these times!

But I feel just fine.
I'm just weary of the times!
But I feel just fine,
'Cause we live then we die.
