LOVE

IF ONLY I KNEW YOU

Oh, what I see in your beautiful face!
My sight's arrested by its lovely glow,
Reflecting fluid hands that intoxicate,
Soft and kind, blossoming with such soul.
Oh! And yours is an angel's visage . . .
I'd seek your comfort in trust and love
If only I knew you--We could talk
And be soothed by one another's touch,
Molding our spirits in physical bond,
Passionately aglow with tender fire.
But of strangers strangers are not fond;
And in these times we can only desire;
Wary restraints prohibit approach.
If only I knew you! But I don't . . . .
